Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck)

Tummy tuck surgery, also known as abdominoplasty, can be performed for patients from the New York City, Brooklyn, Staten Island, and New Jersey areas. This procedure, which can be combined with liposuction, allows Dr. Vitolo to remove a large deposit of fat from the abdomen and simultaneously tighten the abdominal muscles, creating a slimmer silhouette. While the patient is under general or local anesthesia, Dr. Vitolo makes an incision horizontally across the abdomen, below the bikini line. Through this incision, he is able to remove a large quantity of abdominal fat and tighten the muscles. Any excess skin is also removed, and Dr. Vitolo closes the incision. Patients may be fitted with a compression garment and/or a drainage tube underneath the skin to speed healing and minimize swelling during the recovery period. Liposuction

Liposuction is a popular procedure that is minimally invasive, yet produces dramatic results. This treatment is ideal for the patient who is generally fit, but has one or several stubborn pockets of fat that are unresponsive to diet and exercise. Dr. Vitolo is experienced in performing several advanced liposuction techniques, including tumescent liposuction, the super-wet technique, and ultrasound-assisted liposuction or UAL.
