As we age, we gain insight, confidence, and wisdom—and pay for it with wrinkles, creases, and sagging. But through modern cosmetic techniques such as blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) and brow lift treatment, you can look better than ever. Serving New York City and New Jersey, with offices in Brooklyn, Staten Island, Manhattan, and Shrewsbury, Dr. Robert Vitolo performs minimally invasive facial cosmetic surgery with extremely natural results.
Eyelid surgery, also known as blepharoplasty, can rejuvenate puffy, sagging, or tired-looking eyes. In this procedure, Dr. Vitolo removes excess fat and skin from the upper and/or lower eyelids. While blepharoplasty is most often a cosmetic procedure, it can also improve vision by lifting droopy eyelids out of the patient's field of vision. The procedure is usually performed with in as little as 45 minutes. Eyelid surgery can be combined with a brow lift or BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments to raise the eyebrows and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, crow's feet, or dark circles under the eyes. Dr. Vitolo can consult with you about aging in the eyelid area at a blepharoplasty surgery consultation at his New York City, Staten Island, Brooklyn, or New Jersey offices.
Brow lift surgery is a procedure available at our New York City, Staten Island, Brooklyn, and New Jersey area offices that is designed to revitalize drooping or lined foreheads, helping patients to look less angry, sad, or tired. Using either traditional or minimally invasive endoscopic methods, Dr. Vitolo can alter the muscles above the eyes to smooth away lines and raise the eyebrows for a more youthful appearance. This procedure is often combined with other operations, such as blepharoplasty or facelift surgery.
A facelift by Dr. Vitolo can considerably reduce signs of aging. In this procedure, Dr. Vitolo removes excess fat, tightens the underlying muscles of the face, and redrapes the skin around the neck and the lower half of the face. In facelift surgery, incisions are made in inconspicuous places behind the hairline and in natural folds of the face and ears. Dr. Vitolo manipulates the facial tissue through these incisions or uses the minimally invasive endoscopic facelift technique to address sagging and wrinkles in specific areas of the face. Deep creases that form between the nose and mouth, or other sagging problems in the center of the face, may be more satisfactorily treated with the mid facelift procedure. If desired, facelifts can be performed in conjunction with another procedure such as a brow lift, eyelid surgery, or rhinoplasty. If your problem areas are limited to the neck, Dr. Vitolo may recommend a more conservative procedure known as a neck lift. For more information about the facelift procedure, please visit our facelift page.
A mid facelift may be a better option than a traditional facelift for patients with sagging in the center of their face in the lower cheek area or deep furrows from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth. In this procedure, the fat pads of the cheeks are repositioned so that they lie on top of the cheekbones, where they belong, instead of sagging below them. This minimally invasive technique produces highly natural results. For more information on this facelift technique, please visit our facelift page.
A neck lift or chin submental liposuction is performed to remove excess fat beneath the chin and tighten loose skin in the neck. A less invasive alternative to a facelift, the procedure can produce dramatic results in the patient whose chin and/or neck has sagged with age or after weight loss.
Sagging of the neck, jowls, and the appearance of a “double chin” can be frustrating, as these relatively minor neck issues can add years to a patient’s perceived age and pounds to a patient’s perceived weight. Thankfully, all of these aesthetic issues can be addressed at Dr. Vitolo’s plastic surgery practice. We offer a variety of treatments for the neck and can reduce the appearance of jowls, eliminate a double chin through submental area liposuction, and restore a youthful firmness to the neck muscles through the minimally invasive platysmal suspension sling approach.
Full and voluptuous lips have always been recognized as aesthetically important features. Some of us, however, are born with thin, ill-defined lips, lips that lose their fullness with age. With lip enhancement, the appearance of our lips is now within our control. Fine lines and wrinkles, thin lips, and a drooping corners of the mouth are all treatable at Dr. Vitolo’s practice.
Chin surgery, also known as mentoplasty, is a surgical procedure to reshape the chin either with an implant or through reduction surgery. Chin surgery helps provide a harmonious balance to your facial features. Dr. Vitolo may recommend chin surgery to a patient having nose surgery in order to achieve an attractive facial proportion, as the size of the chin may magnify or minimize the perceived size of the nose.
One of the most common plastic surgery procedures, rhinoplasty is performed to reshape, reduce, or augment a person's nose, remove a hump, narrow nostril width, change the angle between the nose and the mouth, or to correct injury, birth defects, or other problems that affect breathing. Rhinoplasty may be performed along with chin surgery for a harmonious balance of facial features. Visit our rhinoplasty page for more information on Dr. Vitolo’s approach to this procedure.
BOTOX® Cosmetic, or botulinum toxin type A, is a protein used to non-surgically reduce facial wrinkles. It is injected under the skin into areas surrounding the eyes, forehead and mouth to smooth crow's feet, frown and worry lines, and lines on the neck. Dr. Vitolo’s practice offers BOTOX® injections as well as Restylane®, JUVÉDERM™ Injectable Gel, and a variety of other injectable fillers that can smooth wrinkles and creases and restore youthful volume to the face.
