Our practice has provided hundreds of patients from New York City, Brooklyn, Staten Island, New Jersey, and beyond with endoscopic 'no visible scar' facelift surgery, an extremely natural-looking and minimally invasive approach to a smoother, younger-looking face. This endoscopic technique has several advantages over traditional facelift surgery. Dr. Robert Vitolo also offers eyebrow / midfacelift surgery for patients with sagging localized in the midface (cheek and mouth) area.
The endoscopic facelift is ideal for patients with a minimal to moderate amount of excess skin. This procedure eliminates the need for the traditional ear to ear and hairline incisions used in conventional facelift surgery. Instead, the incisions are relatively short—less than one inch long, in most cases—and are hidden in the hairline and the natural creases behind each ear. The scars eventually heal to barely visible fine white lines. Through these incisions, Dr. Vitolo uses an endoscope, a type of small television camera, to carefully determine the location and the amount of facial tissue to be removed. After trimming away the excess tissue and redraping the facial skin for a smoother and more lifted appearance, Dr. Vitolo closes the incisions. To learn whether or not you are a good candidate for the endoscopic no visible scar facelift procedure, please contact our practice serving New York, Staten Island, Brooklyn, and New Jersey and schedule an obligation-free consultation with our doctor.
The endoscopic facelift approach has many benefits over traditional facelift surgery. In the endoscopic approach, several tiny incisions are necessary, instead of the long incision across the entire hairline that is necessary to perform traditional facelift surgery. Smaller incisions mean a minimally invasive procedure with smaller, more discreet scars and a more comfortable, speedy recovery period. In addition, because Dr. Vitolo can see through the endoscope exactly where a patient's facial sagging is localized, this procedure is easily customizable and therefore results in an eminently natural, rather than stretched, facial appearance. Patients who undergo endoscopic facelift surgery do not look like they've had “work done,” they simply look like younger, more rejuvenated versions of themselves.
Good candidates for endoscopic midfacelift surgery usually have moderate excess skin, droop of the soft tissues in the lower cheek area, and/or “marionette lines” leading from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth. In this procedure, Dr. Vitolo lifts the drooping fat pads of the cheeks so that they lie on top of the cheekbones. Small incisions are made in the temple area and inside the mouth, and Dr. Vitolo uses an endoscope or small camera to determine the best way to restore lift and smoothness to the midface area. If you are curious if midfacelift surgery is right for you, use your fingers to gently elevate your cheeks upwards and outwards from the corners of your lips. This is the effect of midfacelift surgery on most patients' faces.
