Differences Between Liposuction and a Tummy Tuck
A tummy tuck surgery and liposuction may sound like they do the same thing – help flatten your stomach – but the truth is that they accomplish that goal in a very different way.
Liposuction surgery is designed to remove stubborn fat that won’t respond to diet and exercise, while abdominoplasty removes excess skin and stretchmarks and also corrects damaged abdominal muscles that are preventing patients from achieving a slimmer and flatter stomach. As you can see, both surgeries target the stomach to produce a more aesthetically pleasing appearance, but they do it in different ways.
That’s good news, though, because that means the two surgeries can be combined to produce even more noticeable results!
